Cuso International

Cuso International is a non-profit, international development organization that works through volunteers. Each year Cuso places hundreds of volunteers who collaborate on development projects in Latin America, the Caribbean, Africa, Asia and the Pacific.


The Canadian Commission for UNESCO

The Canadian Commission for UNESCO celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2007. One of 189 National Commissions throughout the world, the Canadian Commission for UNESCO serves as a meeting place for civil society and government authorities in the areas of UNESCO’s competence: education, science, culture and communication. It advises the Canadian Government on UNESCO’s programs and activities and supports events that promote dialogue on issues of national and international significance in civil society.

Langara College Continuing Studies

Langara College provides accessible education that meets the needs of a diverse community and is dedicated to lifelong learning and public service through education. Langara Continuing Studies advances continuing education activities that are community-driven and student focused. Collaborative programs with recognized bodies in the community further enrich the learning environment of the College. Community development and public affairs programs related to citizen participation and democracy are offered, including a Community Leadership Institute, Dialogue Days, courses and forums.

George Brown College (GBC)

George Brown College is one of Canada’s largest and most diverse community colleges. Close to 14,000 full-time and 50,000 part-time students enroll in the college’s programs each year. GBC is a leader in the fields of community service and health sciences, hospitality and tourism, and in selected areas of business, technology and creative arts. With three campuses located in the inner core of downtown Toronto, it serves one of the world’s most ethnically diverse communities. The college’s mission statement commits it to working with all sectors of society and to providing high quality applied education that meets the evolving social and economic needs of the communities it serves.
